I know that sounds creepy, but indulge me.
Have you ever stopped to take stock in life? Just taken a moment to say, “Hey, right now I am a published author with a movie/TV show deal!” or “Hey, right now, at this moment, I am eating carrots.”
I do this often and I’m trying to do it more. Honestly, RIGHT NOW, is the only time you have. The past is a memory and the future a fantasy. Anything and everything happened or will happen at a right now moment at some point in your life. Dwell on that for a second.
After looking back at 2020, (not in my right now), I have decided that I’m going to do this more often. Right now I am healthy. Right now my bills are paid. Right now I have a job. All of these things I am extremely grateful for and I need to take a moment to honor that. Every day.
For the moments of right now that aren’t working, I will either take this right now moment to change that if I can or use this right now moment to plan out how to fix it in the next right now moment. If it's out of my control, right now I will learn to accept it and let it go. See what I’m getting at?
I’ve learned not to take anything for granted. All we really have is right now.
