Claiming the Vision: Building Something Bigger Than Myself

Bookstore Madness
Bookstore Madness

When people ask me what I do, I usually laugh. How do you sum up bookstores, writing, coaching, ghost stories, and Pixie Drops in a neat little sentence? I suppose the short answer is this: I help people find their stories, claim their power, and share them with the world.

But the real answer is so much more.

The Bookstores: From the Ground Up

From the Ground Up Books in La Grange and Bourbon Barrel in Shepherdsville are not just places to buy books. They are living, breathing spaces for connection. They are community hubs where readers discover something new, and where authors have a space to showcase themselves and their work.

We do more than sell books. We build community. We lift up voices that deserve to be heard. And we create spaces where people can come together around story, conversation, and creativity.

My Writing: Stories as Transformation

I am an author first. My books, from the Mind Bending series to The Winberie Journals to Everyday Magic, are about transformation. They explore grief, resilience, spirituality, and the strange edges where the ordinary world cracks open to reveal something bigger.

I do not just write stories. I have lived them. I have endured heartbreak, loss, and reinvention. Writing is how I turned pain into purpose, and it is how I light a path for others to do the same.

From the Ground Up Books Publishing

The vision goes beyond bookstores. From the Ground Up Books is also stepping into publishing, specifically nonfiction and self-help books that align with our mission of resilience, transformation, and community.

I am looking for authors whose work inspires, uplifts, and empowers. Writers who believe that words can change lives and who want to be part of a publishing home built on that belief.

Author Services: The Next Chapter

I am building something new called Author Services, currently in development. This platform will help writers navigate the publishing world with confidence and strategy. From editing and design to marketing and distribution, we will provide the support indie authors need to not just publish but succeed.

Today I am also announcing another piece of the vision, my role as a Fractional Executive for authors and creative businesses.

What does that mean? Think of it as having an experienced publishing strategist on your team, someone who understands both the creative side and the business side. Instead of hiring a full-time executive, authors and small presses can bring me in part-time to help with publishing strategy, marketing systems, business growth, and industry navigation. It is about giving creatives the tools and guidance they need to thrive without losing their voice.

Pixie Drops: Stories You Can Hold in Your Hand

Pixie Drops has already launched, and they are one of my favorite creations. These collectible micro-fiction cards are tiny, powerful bursts of story you can keep, trade, and treasure. The first volume, Pockets Full of Starlight, is already in the world.

They are playful, yes, but they are also a declaration. A way of proving that stories matter in every form, and that even a pocket-sized tale can change the way someone sees their world.

The Common Threads

So how does all of this tie together? Bookstores. Writing. Publishing. Author Services. Pixie Drops. Coaching.

Here is the thread: transformation, resilience, and community.

I have lived through storms that could have ended me, but instead I turned them into fuel. That is why transformation runs through everything I do. I believe stories are how we heal, how we connect, and how we rise.

Looking Ahead

I do not want to build this journey alone. I am looking for collaborators, dreamers, and people who share this vision. I am also looking for sponsors and supporters who believe in community, creativity, and the power of story.

If you are a writer, a business, or a believer in the strength of stories, I want to hear from you. Together we can build something lasting, something that lights the way for others.

Final Word

This is not just about bookstores. It is not just about books. It is about a movement. A movement where creativity, transformation, and courage meet.

If you see yourself in this vision, if you believe stories matter as much as I do, then come find me. My door is open. My tea is hot. And I am always ready to talk about how we can build something bigger, together.

In stories and in strength,

Lynn Tincher
